Where You Fit In?

Support security risk management and provide expert input for Projects, Exploration, and Development activities within SCIN.
This includes direct contributions to project growth, development, and execution phases.
Work hand-in-hand with Project Managers, Directors, GMs, BOMs, and broader project teams.

What is the Role?

This role is responsible for planning and budgeting the security framework for each opportunity that moves into execution phase.
Reports directly to the Country Security Manager and indirectly to Project Directors, while maintaining close coordination with other Project and General Managers.

Responsibilities

Ensure each project applies a tailored, cost-effective, and risk-informed security plan that addresses all project threats.
Oversee security risk identification and delivery, and transfer responsibilities to Asset Security upon project completion.
Lead high-performing security project teams with the right skills, resources, and leadership.
Integrate security elements into the project design and ensure coverage in execution strategies, contracts, and vendor evaluations.
Advance security management systems including assurance, cost control, interface, and reporting for Wells and Projects.
Develop all security deliverables in line with Opportunity Realisation Standards (ORS).
Ensure adherence to Shell’s Security Policies and HSSE&SP Control Framework.
Work with contractors and vendors to enforce security procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Understand Niger Delta geopolitical context and design suitable security strategies.
Collaborate across departments and engage cross-functional business partners.
Must be adaptable under high pressure and strict deadlines.
Supervise security deployment and logistics for onshore and offshore tasks.
Partner with CR and SE teams and be familiar with relevant technical security requirements.

What We Need From You?

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable institution.
A postgraduate degree in a related area is an added benefit.
Minimum of 10 years’ security-related experience.
Strong ability to deliver safe, effective, and value-driven projects.
Understanding of project frameworks like PMF and delivery processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of E&P operations, particularly in the Gulf of Guinea and Niger Delta.
Excellent planning, communication, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to drive outcomes by working cross-functionally with different teams.
Proven experience in leading and managing security teams.

This role supports delivery of deepwater brownfield and flagship projects, Bonga operations, partner-led ventures, and opportunity evaluation (OMLs 118, 133, and 135).
As part of the Subsea Engineering team, the Hardware & Systems Engineer plays a major part in ensuring successful delivery.

What is the Role?

The Senior Subsea Hardware & Systems Engineer will lead all aspects of subsea hardware design, fabrication, and installation.
You will work across disciplines and ensure system quality, safety, and performance compliance.
Your duties will include:

  • Lead Subsea Hardware and Systems delivery for Bonga and BNW infrastructure
  • Understand customer value goals and key drivers
  • Coordinate across teams and provide interface with other engineering functions
  • Carry out engineering for FEED and detailed designs including specs and layouts
  • Ensure reviews and checks are completed for engineering outputs
  • Engage in planning for procurement and construction strategies
  • Apply best practices in subsea hardware across the Asset
  • Stay involved from design to installation, commissioning, and handover
  • Share lessons learned and enhance HSE performance
  • Maintain high technical standards across subsea design phases
  • Promote strong HSE behavior throughout project execution
  • Build links with external vendors and industry bodies
  • Contribute to updating technical guidelines and engineering practices
  • Explore and promote new technologies relevant to subsea engineering
  • Take part in the Subsea and Pipelines Community of Practice
  • Assist Engineering Leads in building a competent delivery team
  • Apply systems engineering and requirements management practices

What We Need From You?

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, Structural Engineering, or Naval Architecture
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering, with 7+ years in Subsea Hardware and Systems roles
Must be COREN registered or currently undergoing the registration process
TA3 certification in Subsea Hardware and Systems, or readiness for it
Proven track record in design, execution, and delivery of major Subsea Projects
Experience with cross-discipline collaboration (Wells, Subsurface, Process, etc.)
Use of mechanical modeling tools like CAESAR II, ANSYS, Autopipe, or similar
Good grasp of applicable industry codes and offshore installation procedures
Understanding of construction and commissioning in Deepwater context
Experience with operations support is a plus
Strong organizational, negotiation, and planning skills
Analytical, system-thinking mindset with creative problem-solving ability
Team-oriented with leadership drive and innovation mindset
Demonstrated commitment to HSE excellence
Ability to influence and align diverse teams across cultures
Capable of proactive execution and milestone delivery
