UNICEF Recruitment – Child Protection Officer (MRM)

Location: Borno

Requirements

To stand as a champion for every child, you will need:

  • A University Degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Human Rights, Psychology, Sociology, International Law, or another Social Science Field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection-related areas.
  • Experience working in humanitarian contexts, especially prolonged ones.
  • Prior experience in programme development in child protection-related areas within a UN system agency or organization is a significant asset.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Basic understanding and ability to speak one or two of the local languages common to the Northeast is advantageous. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is a plus.

UNICEF Recruitment – Child Protection Officer (GBV)

Requirements

To qualify as an advocate for every child, you will need:

  • A University Degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Human Rights, Psychology, Sociology, International Law, or another Social Science Field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive professional experience implementing Child Protection and GBV programmes in emergencies.
  • Proven ability to work independently under challenging conditions, including in protracted conflict environments.
  • Experience working with community structures and/or religious groups and leaders at the grassroots level on prevention and response to GBV, including survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Basic understanding and ability to speak one or two of the local languages common to the Northeast is advantageous. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is a plus.
