If you want to join the Nigerian Army, here are the basic requirements:
- You must be a proud Nigerian who follows the country’s laws.
- Your age should be between 20 and 30, but if you’re a medical consultant, you can be up to 39.
- You need to be in excellent physical and mental health – no exceptions.
- Tattoos, piercings, or special writings on your body are not allowed.
- Having a recommendation from a previous employer will give you an advantage.
- You must have a certificate that proves your state of origin.
- For men, you should be at least 1.68 meters tall, and for women, at least 1.63 meters.
- You should have a clean criminal record – no past illegal activities.
- You must have valid degree certificates from 2009 onwards.
- Your birth certificate must be verified by the appropriate authorities.
- You need two referees who are not your family members. They should be people with influence who can vouch for your character.
For your referees:
- They can be a local government official with authority.
- They can be a military person ranked no lower than Lieutenant Colonel.
- They can also be a high-ranking police officer from your state.
